The Caritas Tagungszentrum (our venue) offers accommodation at affordable rates. We recommend that you book a room there, as this will maximize your opportunities to socialize with your fellow researchers.

A single room costs 79.50€ per night, including breakfast. We have reserved 50 single rooms for AVM. A small number of double rooms are also available. To book, send an email to tagungszentrum@caritas.de. You can use this mail template as a starting point.

Important: To book one of the reserved rooms, you must mention that (1) you are a participant of AVM, which is (2) organized by the University of Freiburg. Also include the dates that you would like to stay (typically, from 3rd to 6th/7th September).

As an alternative, e.g. if the Caritas Tagungszentrum is booked out already, the closest accommodation is at Katholische Akademie just 5-10min down the road. To request a room, fill out this form (unfortunately only available in German; use a translator if needed).

Of course, you can also book a room in one of the other other hotels and hostels around Freiburg.
